Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Jobmaxx iOS application and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Jobmaxx provides AI-assisted career tools: resume analysis ("roast"), resume generation and tailoring, cover letters, a job application tracker, and interview preparation. The Service is a productivity tool — it is not a recruiting agency, career counseling service, or guarantee of employment.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Jobmaxx Pro is offered as auto-renewable subscriptions (currently weekly, monthly, and annual options). Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Where required, refunds are handled by Apple under their policies — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Free tier limits (such as monthly AI resume generations) may change over time.

4. AI-Generated Content

Jobmaxx uses artificial intelligence to analyze and generate content. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You are responsible for reviewing everything before you use it — especially facts in your resume and cover letters. Never submit AI-generated claims about your experience that aren't true; that's on you, not us. Interview prep content (including company research) is informational and may not reflect a company's current state.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you provide (resumes, notes, job data). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the features you request. You represent that you have the right to share the content you upload.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, or fraudulent purposes (including misrepresenting your identity or qualifications to employers);
Reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service or its APIs;
Use the Service to build a competing dataset or train models;
Upload malicious code or content you don't have rights to.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by us and protected by law. Except for the license above, no rights are granted to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT USING IT WILL RESULT IN INTERVIEWS, OFFERS, OR EMPLOYMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY, EMPLOYMENT, PROFITS, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Sections 4–9 survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

12. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
